A number of case-study conversations with entrepreneurs who used design to develop their products with an empathic approach for the end user, and how the design choice they made influences who buys their products, and how the products are used.
Con Kennedy is a Communications Designer, Advocate, Educator and Researcher. Con has worked in professional practice for over 20 years and in that time has designed many well-known brands such as the National Development Plan, Grangecastle, and Greenstar. He has designed annual reports for Government Departments such as the Department of Arts, Heritage, Gaeltacht and the Islands and corporations such as Providence Resources. His advocacy work includes representation at the council of the Institute of Designers in Ireland and was a former board member of the Design, Print & Packaging Skillnet. As a researcher, he has contributed to the Department of Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation’s Policy Framework on Design Enterprises in Ireland which is the first Government policy on Design in 54 years.
